Oversize loads
Fret SNCF has the necessary procedures and resources to handle oversize and exceptionally heavy goods. Fret SNCF can carry items over 60 metres in length, and with unit weights exceeding 400 tonnes.
In 2002, Fret SNCF delivered 1200 oversize or exceptionally heavy loads, corresponding to 250,000 full wagons.
Most of these oversize loads involved international transport, particularly in Germany, Belgium and Italy. |
